Years ago Kula Photo specialized in black & white photographic processing and printing. Today much of this type of work has been replaced by our digital printing (see Custom Digital Printing), but we still offer hand printed custom black & white enlargements up to 16x20 in size for the discrimnating amateur and professional. Our optical black & white prints are created from black & white film negatives only. We are able to print from supplied negatives up to 10"x10" in size and can also print from glass plate negatives. Our technicians are knowledgable in the delicate handling of such material. A $5.00 handling fee per image will be applied to the base print price for any prints created from negatives larger than 120 format or from glass plate negatives.

All of our optical black & white enlargements are hand printed and tray developed by trained technicians on true black & white photographic paper and are available in both glossy and matte-lustre surfaces. Included in the below pricing of our prints is specific cropping, density, and "burn & dodge" instructions that you may want to include with your order. Special services such as print matching, vignetting, and corner burning are also available on our black & white prints.
