FILM PROCESSING and PROOF PRINTING
From Digital Files or Film

Although many amateurs and professionals have switched over to digital imaging and have left film behind, Kula Photo still operates, for those still using film, three seperate lines for film development: 1. C-41 for color negative and hybrid black & white film development, 2. Black & White for all types of true black & white films, and 3. E-6 for color transparency (positve) films. All size films from 35mm rolls to 8x10 sheet film are processsed to strict technical standards to ensure maximum quality and longevity. Push or Pull Processing is available on all films when required at an additional cost of $6.00 per roll and $4.00 per sheet. Clip Tests are also available for Black and White and C-41 roll films and are priced at $8.00 per roll.

PROOF PRINTING (4x5, 4x6, 5x5) from either film or digital files is available in glossy or luster finish and prints can either be bordered or borderless. Please specify your preferences when sending film or files to us for proofing. Proof prints at 5x7 size are also available. Contact sheets (10"x12" in size) from film may be ordered in either glossy or luster surface from both color negative and black & white films at a cost of 8.75 per sheet. Logo or Copyright Imprinting on the back of proof prints is available and priced at $4.00 per order.

DIGITAL 10"X12" PROOF SHEETS, availble from digital media only, are priced at $10.00 per sheet and are available in either glossy or luster surfaces. They are quite useful for cataloging a large number of electronic images much in the same way a standard proof sheet made from film is used. Thirty six images is generally an optimum quantity per sheet and equates to an approximate one by one and a half inch size per image (much like the old 35mm-36 exposure film proof sheet).   An example of this type of proof sheet is represented below.

Proof sheets, used in proofing 4x5 or 8x10 sheet film, are also 10x12 inches in size. Each sheet can accomodate either 4 sheets of 4x5 film or 1 sheet of 8x10 film. All 4x5 or 8x10 sheets are sleeved in archival pages.  Roll films are also sleeved in archival pages for proofing purposes.  All the above film processing and proofing generally has a one day turnaround in lab. Same day service is available at additional cost if required.

If these rolls are desired uncut they will be returned in clear archival sleeving as are the 120 transparency rolls and sheet film that we process.
